Im not a fan of tattoos on a model fucking period though!

Yeap I don’t like them, it’s an honest feeling. When reviewing a model who sends me a shoot message and I look at their images then come across the dreaded tattoos I just shake my head and a “not again” kinda feeling comes over me. I shoot mostly boudoir and nude models so of course these will show up in the images profoundly, then you have a new age issue of tattoo copyright a legal issue that can arise.

Now I do in fact shoot models with tattoos, but I prefer a model with clear skin all over. I’m not interested in the personal opinions, art, dedications, or other random scribbles of ink. I’d rather buy a painting myself, this started happening in the early 2000’s a bunch. The rise of the alt girl suicide theme look, I shot a few like this and it didn’t bother me. It’s just fucking played out to me, I’ve seen it so many times. A clear skin non tatted model is a premium lately.

There are tattoos that just really get on my nerves more than others, thigh, calves, lower back (tramp stamp), lower stomach, chest (hood rat). The most offensive to me is the damn thigh tattoo, this would be because I’m a leg fanatic. Anyway for the last few years if I have say 5 models hitting me up the first to get picked would be the most talented one, then all the appearance preferences kick in for who I will want to shoot with. The tatted girls will need to be even more talented than the average to get my attention, it’s your body I understand and they are my photos too.

At the end of the day, talent is top and tattoos are just not what I’m looking for on a model. Read my post title to get my blatant true feelings, adios!
